I heart Trees!
We made this sweet Valentine tree to fill the empty spot on our kitchen table where one of our Christmas card trees stood not long ago. We have gotten in the habit of making a tree centerpiece for each holiday season. For our Valentine's tree, we found a branch in the yard and stuck it in some oasis which we placed in a small tin bucket. We painted the top of the oasis white and then glued a soft pink ribbon around the pot. We cut out cardboard hearts, then glued fabric onto both sides and finally using a hot glue gun, I attached the ribbon hanger.

OMG, I love that! Super cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful centerpiece...and I love the fabric you used. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Thanks for sharing. I was going to do a Valentine tree with Bible verses on hearts. I don't know what Oasis is, but I bet I could use Plaster of Paris. I've never thought of that before, so thanks for the inspiration! Now, I know how to do my tree! Thanks for linking it to the valentine Craft Linky at Heartfelt Balance Handmade Life
ReplyDeleteI love card trees too! I think I might make one for my daughter's 2nd bday coming up next month. I just had to stop by from HBHM's Sit & Relax Weekend Hop because my daughter bares the same name as your blog- Lily! I'm hosting a hop this weekend too if you'd like to stop by. http://jessica-healthymommyhealthybaby.blogspot.com/2012/02/sweet-saturday-blog-hop-2.html
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower :) I love all the ideas I see on your home page alone! Have a nice weekend!
P.S. I like what I see so much, I am considering using your blog as my up-and-coming blog of the month for March. Would you be interested? Here's what February's is like: http://jessica-healthymommyhealthybaby.blogspot.com/2012/02/februarys-featured-blog-of-month.html. I do it for blogs with less than 200 followers to help them get more exposure. Yours I think would be perfect for Lily's birth month. Let me know if you're interested!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for Pinterest! I just found this post and your sweet little Valentine (all holiday). It will be a perfect centerpiece for my Mom's Night In Valentine's Party I'm hosting.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful holiday!
